The Sculptor

Okay, this segment starts like its some story. But, its not. Its just some crappy example.

A long time ago, there was a Sculptor. One day as he was crossing the forest, he came along a boulder, 10 feets long and an idea stuck him. He got that boulder transferred into village and started sculpting. Slowly and steadily, as the days passed, a Beautiful lady was sculpted out of it.
And then one day, when the sculptor was just about to complete that art, a person came by. And what he said changed the sculptor's attitude of looking towards his own art.
He said, " You are sculpting this keeping in mind image of a lady and you are expecting your life to change with it,right?"
The sculpter said:" Yes, my friend"?
And that man continued " Even if you make a lady of it, in the end, its a stone. You cant change the basic nature of a thing just by altering its shape."
FULL STOP.
Thats the end of story. It may feel abrupt but its in our hand now to think of a precise end to that story. The people who call themselves rational would complete the story with the sculptor giving some dashing answer to the man. While the people are utmost practical in their life will finish the story with the sculptor discontinuing the making of that lady.
I dont know which end I feel is correct. But when this story came to my mind I felt the practical way more appropriate. People may argue that if we go by that thinking, there wont be any art in this world. But dont you think that if we need to think practically some time? Isnt it good sometimes to leave some things in the middle. I wonder the incomplete Stonehenge is an example of this story or what.

In a nutshell, is it really worth to put unnecessary efforts to things that you feel are not gonna work out. OR is it worth a go because you never know what will change at what time and everything can be possible?
These are the questions that linger back......May be its right to leave some things back just because they were stone cold.....but maybe...who knows destiny may change its course...Everything boild down to the same phrase: " To be or not to be....that is the question".
